Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

Welcome to My Event Match ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our website myeventmatch.com and our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering an account, browsing our directory, submitting a job request, or using any feature of My Event Match, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. We may update these Terms from time to time and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Definitions

"Platform" refers to My Event Match and all related services. "Customer" refers to a user seeking event services. "Partner" refers to a business or professional offering event services. "Lead" refers to a customer enquiry distributed to Partners. "Credits" refers to the virtual currency used to claim leads.

3. Customer Accounts

Customers must provide accurate, current and complete information when registering. Customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for all activity under their account. Customers must be at least 18 years old.

4. Partner Accounts & Subscriptions

Partners must hold any required licences, ABN and insurance relevant to the services they offer. Partners subscribe to a plan (Free, Basic, Premium) and receive monthly lead credits according to their plan. Credits are non-transferable between accounts and expire in accordance with the plan's rollover terms. Partners agree that claimed leads are for outreach to the named customer only and may not be resold or shared with third parties.

5. Lead Credits & Refunds

Lead credits are consumed at the point a Partner claims a lead. Refunds for unused credits are at our discretion and will only be considered where a lead is materially inaccurate (e.g. fake contact details). Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by Australian consumer law. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

6. Transactions Between Customers & Partners

My Event Match is a marketplace that connects Customers with Partners. We are not a party to any contract formed between a Customer and a Partner. Pricing, quotes, bookings, payments and service delivery are arranged directly between the Customer and the Partner. We are not liable for the conduct or performance of any Partner or Customer.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) misuse the platform to harass, spam or deceive other users; (b) submit false or misleading job requests; (c) attempt to reverse engineer, scrape or overload our systems; (d) impersonate another person or business; (e) upload unlawful, offensive or infringing content. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

8. Portfolio & Content

Partners grant My Event Match a non-exclusive licence to display portfolio images and business content submitted through the platform for marketing and directory purposes. All uploaded content must be owned by the Partner or used with permission. We reserve the right to remove any content we consider inappropriate.

9. Intellectual Property

All branding, logos, text and design elements of My Event Match are owned by us or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute our content without prior written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, My Event Match is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, including loss of profits, data or business opportunities. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms or to protect the integrity of the platform. You may close your account at any time by contacting our Help Desk. Upon termination, any unused credits may be forfeited.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
