My Event Match ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information when you use myeventmatch.com. It applies to both Customers and Partners.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly: name, email, phone number, address and suburb, business details (for Partners), job request details, portfolio content and support ticket messages. We also collect technical data automatically, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and device information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: (a) create and manage your account; (b) match Customers with suitable Partners and distribute leads; (c) process payments and subscription renewals; (d) communicate with you about your enquiries and bookings; (e) verify identity and prevent fraud; (f) improve our services and develop new features; (g) send marketing emails where you have opted in (you may opt out at any time).

3. Sharing of Information

When a Customer submits a job, relevant lead details (name, contact details, event requirements) are shared with Partner(s) who match the request. Partners receive only the details needed to quote on the job. We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with trusted third-party service providers (e.g. payment processors, email delivery, analytics) who process it on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations.

4. Lead Distribution & Partner Access

Partner contact details are shown publicly in our directory subject to each Partner's location display preference. Customer contact details are only shared with Partners once a lead is claimed using credits. Leads are distributed based on service category, location and Partner subscription tier.

5. Data Storage & Security

We store personal information on secure cloud infrastructure. We use encryption in transit and at rest, restrict access to authorised personnel and regularly review our security practices. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

6. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep you logged in and understand how the platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some features.

7. Marketing Communications

With your consent, we may send you newsletters and promotional offers. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or via your account settings.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting or reporting obligations. You may request deletion of your data subject to these obligations.
